Current Topics in Managerial Control

The module "Current Topics in Managerial Control" offers an opportunity for a comprehensive examination of current developments and research approaches in the field of Management Accounting, particularly with regard to the behavioral sciences. Participants deepen their knowledge of management accounting and learn to critically analyze and reflect on research articles. By discussing new research findings, participants will be able to further develop their argumentation and writing skills.

Contents:

The module covers various topics, including

  • In-depth insights into recent findings on      planning, management and control systems in management accounting.
  • The application of experimental methods in      management accounting research and their significance for practice.
  • The investigation of behavioural aspects of      management accounting and their impact on organizational decision-making      processes.
  • A debate on the relevance and usefulness of      experimental research in management accounting, considering different      viewpoints and approaches.
